Fall Inspired Little Shop Of Horrors... by Preeti

Well it's October, and we are celebrating Fall and Halloween with our challenge this month - Fall Inspired Little Shop Of Horrors. Since we are continuing our year of musical inspiration and sharing songs that are some of Kim's favourites, this month we are inspired by the Little Shop Of Horrors song! We want to see anything you create that is inspired by the Fall season or even Halloween if you're feeling kinda spooky! Listen to the song below and get creating - then link up at the bottom of the post for a chance to win a cool prize pack. We DARE you!

Hi folks :) Good morning! For the October Challenge where the theme is "Fall Inspired Little Shop of Horrors" I have created a Halloween Mixed Mixed Tag. The theme this month is so fun ! I had to create something spooky :)

Here are some photos of the Mixed Media Tag:

Process:

1. Applied Heavy Black Gesso to a large sized MDF tag and to create background texture, applied Asphalt Texture Paste by Craftangles onto the tag. Once it dried, applied modelling paste through a stencil onto the background. While the paste was still wet, heat embossed it using Baked Texture- Rocky Road Embossing Powder. This gives a bumpy and highly textured look to the background and adds a lot of interest.
2. To colour the tag, used Finnabair's waxes.
3. Prepared the elements for layering. Created die cuts and heat embossed them using Aroma Embossing Powder- Just JavaBaked Texture Embossing Powder- Blizzard  and Molten Dimensions Embossing Powder- Glistening Glass
4. Fussy cut paper elements from a Halloween themed paper pack by DCWV. Heat embossed the word Halloween using Magical Mysteries Embossing Powder- Dragon's Egg .
5. Created a visually pleasing composition by layering & adhering all the elements including a Tim Holtz paper doll, word stickers, embossed die cuts, gauze and fussy cut elements (using pieces of cardboard in between the layers to create additional dimension).
6. To embellish the tag adhered a few Metal Key Charms and added a cabochon.
7. In the end, created splatter using white acrylic ink.

Thanks a lot for your precious time :)
Stay Blessed
